SMC

To facilitate
research and outreach activities focused on the epidemiology of
plant diseases.
To facilitate the
organization of the International Epidemiology Workshop.
To facilitate
increase collaboration among members of the committee.

activities and workshops for the International Congress of Plant
Pathology.

About the SMC
|
This SMC facilitates activities focused on the epidemiology of plant
diseases. The primary effort is aimed at helping to facilitate the
organization of the International Epidemiology Workshop, which is
hosted every approximately five years. Additional activities focus
on collaborating in developing special sessions or workshops at the
International Congress of Plant Pathology. Furthermore, this SMC
facilitates discussions or communications with those interested in
epidemiology using a global listserv. |

Committee Activities
|
Currently, the
committee has selected the next location for the International
Epidemiology Workshop (IEW14), which will be held in Spain in 2027.
We have also updated the committee list and reorganize the committee
structure. We now have a transition plan for the Chair and Co-Chair
to update the committee at the next ICPP in 2028.
